Tuna Kabob – Easy Indian Recipes

Easy Indian recipes: This kabob is cooked with a combination of tuna, potatoes, spices, and herbs.

Tuna Kabobs is one of the many easy Indian recipes you can make for your family. This kabob is made with a mixture of tuna, potatoes, spices, and herbs.

  • Servings: 7-8 (23 kabobs)
  • Prep Time: 30-40 minutes
  • Cook Time: 35-45 minutes
  • Total Time: 1 hr 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 7 potatoes
  • 4 cans of tuna
  • 2-3 green chilis
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 bunch of cilantro
  • 1 stalk of green onion
  • 4 tablespoons of corn oil
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper for potatoes
  • 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper for the eggs
  • ½ tablespoon red chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon of salt

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Cook potatoes in the microwave until they are tender.
  2. While potatoes are cooking, chop up the following: green chili, cilantro, and green onion.
  3. While potatoes are cooking, open up the cans of tuna and drain the water.
  4. Once potatoes are done, peel potatoes and mash them in a large bowl. Make sure you mash out all of the knots.
  5. Add the following to the potatoes: tuna, cilantro, green chili, green onion, red chili powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix it all together really well.
  6. Mold the potato mix into the shape of a fat yet still flattened ball. (See photo above).
  7. Take a separate bowl and break eggs into it. Add 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper. Then, beat the eggs.
  8. Add 2 tablespoons of corn oil to a pan on high heat.
  9. Take the pre-shaped potatoes and dip them into the egg mixture. Add it to the frying pan. Repeat this step as needed.
  10. Fry for 5-8 minutes on one side or until they turn brown.
  11. Flip over kabobs. Add 2 tablespoons of additional corn oil. Fry for 5-8 minutes until kabobs turn brown.
  12. Serve. You can eat it on its own or with an Indian bread.
